Things Required

Masking tape

Procedure

Remove any dishes, appliances, or kitchen items surrounding the area. You don’t want them to get sticky or dirty during the process.
Clean the countertop with a commercial granite cleaner or use a mild detergent and warm water solution. The goal is to remove as much dirt as possible from the chip. You can use an earbud or cotton ball dipped in the cleaning solution to remove dirt from the chip. Make sure you don’t use acidic cleaners to clean granite countertops.
Dry the area completely before moving to the next step.
Mask the application area with masking tape so you don’t accidentally spill polish or epoxy on the unaffected area.
Use superglue or epoxy to fill the chipped area. You must level the liquid with the stone surface. Go slow during this step, as you don’t want to overfill the chip or leave it empty.

Clear epoxy works great for light-colored granite. You can choose colored epoxy to match your countertop. Some people also add color additives to their epoxy before applying it. Translucent epoxies also go well with almost all colors.

Once the glue is dry, it is time to scrape off the excess epoxy from the surface. Use the razor blade to remove excess epoxy. Make sure you do it carefully and slowly as extra chipping can create a chip in the fixture.
Buff the area with buffing sandpaper.
Polish the repaired area and then seal the countertop to protect it from spills.
